Welcome to my little world.
Hi there.

Growing up in a rural but artsy town in Atlantic Canada very much influenced my love of the small but mighty. I always root for an underdog and try to see the beauty in the overlooked.
I've studied both history and fine arts and they interact all the time. Context is everything and I'm always on the lookout for competing influences and how they manifest.
My philosophy is rooted in thoughtful research and careful consideration of each element in a space to create a richer experience. I love to surprise audiences with little pops of the unexpected to engage them in ideas bubbling beneath the surface. Digging into ideas and matching them with forms is one of my biggest design joys.

I've spent years working abroad in Japan, France and the Middle East and they have given me many gifts, particularly the perspective gained from a widened gaze. Understanding different cultures also improved my perception of my own, showing me ways of questioning and exploring issues through art.

After working in visual and performing arts education, I studied design for the theatre in Montreal, working on a wide variety of set, lighting, and spatial design.

I'm always up for a new project so feel free to get in touch if you'd like to chat.
